Pavel Petrovich left an interesting pictorial heritage, but the number of his works is small. But his main vocation and meaning of life was teaching. During the years of teaching at the Imperial Academy of Arts, Chistyakov developed his own system, in which he combined the best of the academic school and his own developments, creating the basis for the development of broader views of realistic art among students.
