Edward Mateusz Jan Oktawiusz Römer was a Baltic-German/Polish painter who spent much of his career in what is now Belarus. His brother was the sculptor and painter, Alfred Izydor Römer and his father was Edward Jan Römer, a noted writer and social activist.
