Josef Liesler was a Czech surrealist painter, graphic designer, illustrator, exlibris and postage stamp designer. He studied art at University of the Architecture and Structural Engineering, Prague in 1934-38 under professors Cyril Bouda, Oldřich Blažíček, and Josef Sejpka.
